Tasks
Working with tasks in Obvious — creating, triggering, and tracking runs.
Create a task
Create a task when you have an instruction you want Obvious to run again and again: on a schedule you set, when an incoming webhook fires, or with an approval gate where the run waits for you. Each task keeps its own run history, so you can see exactly what the agent did every time it ran.

Monitor task runs
Follow your scheduled and webhook-triggered task runs as they happen. Open a task to see exactly what the agent did, monitor runs in progress, and act on runs that are waiting at a gate.

Trigger a task from a webhook
Use a webhook-triggered task when something in an external service should start a saved Obvious task automatically. The external service sends an event to Obvious, and Obvious runs the task connected to that webhook subscription.
