Project Labels

Last updated July 8, 2026 · 2 min read

Labels let you tag projects with a short colored marker — a name, a color, and an optional description — and manage all your workspace labels from one place. Before you edit or remove a label, you can hover over it to see how many projects are using it.

Create a label

Open Settings, then go to Workspace → Labels. Select + New label.

Fill in the label details:

  • Label name — A short name that will appear on the project. Keep it distinct so it's easy to scan at a glance.
  • Color — Choose a color to make the label visually identifiable in project lists.
  • Description — Optional. Add a description to clarify when or how the label should be used.

Select Create. The label is now available to apply to any project in the workspace.

Apply a label to a project

Labels appear as a column in the projects list view. If the column isn't visible, toggle it on using the column controls in the list. Select the labels field on any project row to apply one or more labels to that project.

A project can carry more than one label.

Edit or remove a label

In Settings → Workspace → Labels, hover over a label to see how many projects are using it. Review the count before making changes — editing a label's name or color updates it across every project using it, and removing a label removes it from all those projects at once.

To edit or remove a label, select the menu on the label's row.

  • Select Edit to update the name, color, or description, then select Save.
  • Select Delete to remove the label. Confirm by selecting Delete in the dialog that appears.

If you don't see Workspace → Labels, you may need to contact a workspace administrator.
