Granola Integration

This guide walks you through connecting Granola to Obvious so your meeting notes, transcripts, and action items are available right inside your projects.
What You'll Need
- A Granola account with meeting notes
- Workspace Admin or Editor access in Obvious
Connect Granola
-
Open Settings → Connectors.
You can also get there from the sidebar — click your workspace name, then Settings, then Connectors.
-
Find Granola in the connector list and click Connect.
-
A Granola authorization window opens. Sign in with your Granola account and approve access.
-
Obvious redirects you back to the Connectors page. Granola now appears under your connected integrations.
That's it — your Granola meetings are now accessible to the Obvious agent.
What Gets Imported
Obvious doesn't bulk-import your Granola library. Instead, the agent pulls meeting data on demand when you ask for it. Here's what's available:
- Meeting notes — the structured notes Granola creates from each meeting, including summaries and key points
- Action items — tasks and follow-ups Granola extracted from the conversation
- Transcripts — full meeting transcripts (available on Granola's paid tiers)
- Meeting metadata — date, time, participants, and duration
Dates and times automatically convert to your local timezone, so you'll see meetings in your own time — not UTC.
Search and Find Meetings
This is where the integration shines. Ask the agent directly:
- "Search my Granola meetings for the product review from last week."
- "Find the meeting where we discussed the Q3 roadmap."
- "Show me my last 5 Granola meetings."
- "Pull the transcript from yesterday's standup."
The agent searches across your meeting notes using natural language, so you don't need to remember exact titles or dates. Describe what you're looking for and it handles the rest.
Tip: Granola search works best with specific terms — project names, people mentioned, or topics discussed. "The meeting with Sarah about pricing" will return better results than "recent meeting."
Attach Meetings to Projects
Once you find a meeting, you can bring its content directly into your project:
- Ask the agent to summarize a meeting and save it as a document
- Pull action items into a sheet for tracking
- Reference meeting notes alongside other project data for analysis
For example: "Find last Tuesday's customer call and create a document with the key takeaways and action items."
The agent retrieves the meeting, extracts what you need, and creates the artifact — all in one step.
If Something Isn't Working
Granola isn't showing in Connectors. The Granola integration is rolling out across workspaces. If you don't see it, check with your workspace admin.
"Connect your Granola account" error. Your connection may have expired. Open Settings → Connectors, disconnect Granola, and reconnect.
Transcripts aren't available. Full transcripts require a paid Granola plan. Meeting notes and action items are available on all tiers.
Can't find a specific meeting. Try different search terms — the agent searches across note content, not just titles. If the meeting is very recent, give Granola a few minutes to finish processing it.
