Downloading files

You can download any file stored in your Knowledge Base directly from the file list or while previewing a file. Documents export as Markdown; all other file types download in their original format.

Download a file

There are two ways to start a download depending on where you are in the Knowledge Base.

From the file list, open the file menu on any row and choose Download. The file saves to your default downloads folder immediately.

From a file preview, select the download button in the file preview. The file saves the same way.

File format on download

The format you receive depends on the file type:

• Documents — export as Markdown (.md). To get a document in another format, open it in the editor and copy the content from there.
• All other files — download in their original format (PDF, image, CSV, and so on).
