Calendar Views

A calendar view turns any sheet with dates into an interactive calendar — like Google Calendar, but powered by your sheet data. Move a record to a different day, and the date field in your sheet updates automatically.

Create a Calendar View

The quickest way: ask the agent.

Turn this into a calendar

The agent creates the calendar, picks the right date field, and opens it. You can adjust from there.

To create one manually:

  1. Click + in the project sidebar, then select Calendar.

  2. Choose a sheet with a date field.

  3. Obvious maps your date field to the calendar grid. Each record becomes an event, using the first text field as its title.

Records without a date value won't appear until you add one.

Tip: If your sheet has multiple date fields, choose which one drives the calendar in the configure sidebar.

Month and Week Views

The calendar starts in month view. Switch using the Month | Week toggle in the toolbar.

Month view shows a full grid with events on each day. Days with more events than the cell can fit show a "+N more" label — click to see the full list.

Week view shows seven columns with a time grid from 9 AM to 10 PM. Timed events appear as blocks at their scheduled hour. All-day events sit in a row at the top. Overlapping events share horizontal space so nothing gets hidden.

Move and Resize Events

Drag any event to a different day to reschedule it. The date field on the underlying record updates instantly.

In week view, drag events to a different time slot or day — both date and time update. Timed events also have drag handles on their top and bottom edges. Grab either handle to adjust the start or end time. Resizing snaps to 15-minute increments.

Tip: Arrow keys navigate between events. Shift+arrow jumps months.

Configure Your Calendar

Click Configure to open the sidebar. Three options:

  • Date field — Which date field positions events on the calendar.
  • Title field — Which field shows as the event label. Defaults to the first text field.
  • Start time field — A field with time values. Events then show time labels and appear at specific hours in week view instead of as all-day events.

Click Save to apply. The calendar previews selections in real time.

How It Connects to Your Sheet

A calendar view is a view, not a copy. It reads from the same sheet data and writes back to it:

  • One sheet, many views. Create a calendar from the same sheet that powers your Kanban board — different lens, same data.
  • Changes go both ways. Edit a date in the sheet, and the event moves. Drag an event on the calendar, and the sheet updates.
